At Surrey’s Learning and Counselling Centre, we provide a calm, confidential and welcoming space where people can access professional support, develop greater self-understanding and move towards positive change.

We offer professional counselling and neurodiversity-affirming therapy for individuals, couples, families, adults and young people, alongside creative and holistic approaches that support emotional well-being, personal growth and resilience.

We also provide professional training and CPD for therapists, counsellors and other professionals, including our CPCAB-accredited (TMQ) Level 5 Diploma in Advanced Professional Practice in Domestic Abuse – I.D.V.A Aligned.

 

Counselling & Therapeutic Support

We understand that seeking counselling can be an important step. Our aim is to provide a safe, respectful, confidential setting and non-judgemental environment where you can explore what is happening in your life at your own pace.

Our integrative approach allows us to draw from a range of therapeutic perspectives, adapting our work to the individual rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

We support clients experiencing a wide range of emotional and personal challenges, including difficulties with relationships, confidence, identity, life transitions, stress, emotional well-being and personal development.

Our focus is on helping you develop greater self-awareness, emotional understanding, confidence and resilience, while supporting you to identify your own strengths and resources.​

Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapy

We specialise in neurodiversity-affirming counselling and therapeutic support for neurodivergent adults, teenagers and families.

We recognise that neurodivergent people may experience the world, relationships, communication, emotions and sensory environments differently. Our approach seeks to understand and respect individual differences rather than expecting people to fit a particular mould.

We offer a supportive environment in which clients can explore their experiences, identity, relationships, emotional well-being and personal goals in a way that feels authentic to them.

Creative & Holistic Approaches

Alongside professional counselling, we offer complementary creative and holistic approaches that can support self-expression, reflection and personal growth.

Depending on individual needs and interests, these may include:

• Creative and expressive approaches

• Mindfulness and self-awareness practices

• Eco-Therapy and nature-based approaches

• Holistic well-being practices

• Shamanic Journeying for those who feel spiritually connected

CPCAB-Accredited (TMQ) Level 5 Diploma

 

Level 5 Diploma in Advanced Professional Practice in Domestic Abuse – I.D.V.A Aligned

This specialist CPCAB-accredited programme is designed for professionals who wish to develop advanced knowledge and professional practice in relation to domestic abuse which includes (I.D.V.A) independent domestic violence advocacy.

The programme provides an opportunity to deepen understanding of domestic abuse, develop specialist knowledge and strengthen professional skills relevant to supporting individuals and families affected by domestic abuse.

The I.D.V.A-aligned focus provides a valuable professional development pathway for those interested in developing their practice in this area.

Professional Training & Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Workshops

Our work extends beyond counselling to professional learning and development. We aim to provide learning that encourages reflection, expands clinical thinking and offers practical insights that can be thoughtfully integrated into professional practice.
