Shinrin yoku Practitioner
Catherine Salvi Coombs
Some people will know me as a psychotherapist, teacher, and clinical supervisor. Part of my journey & privilege was to work with families, groups, and individuals, supporting their empowerment to return to a balanced life. We constantly strive, worry & pressurise ourselves, pushing our limits to 'do better, be better'. Our defences constantly being battered by unrealistic expectations to be a better person, mother/father, partner etc., When our natural defences are so low, we turn to medication for a quick fix not realising it can cause more issues.
Why are we looking so hard for answers when it’s all around us, waiting for you.
Accessing nature brings an inner calm,
Shinrin yoku
SHINRIN YOKU IS FOR EVERYONE.
The goal is to promote mental & physical health through sensory engagement; touching; textures, smelling; fragrances, visually; colours, immersing yourself physically; walking & psychologically; connecting with a powerful source 'natural'.
